This evening the Lowell Fire Department along with Tri-Creek Ambulance Service had the pleasure of hosting Girl Scout Pack #35721 and Daisy Pack #35742 for a station tour. During the visit, the scouts learned vital information from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) regarding Home Escape Plans and Close Before you doze. All attendees were able to successfully create their own home escape plans that they can practice within their homes and learned the importance of sleeping with the door closed. All of the scouts were very intrigued by the content provided and were very sharp learners!! We would like to extend our thank yous to the Girl Scouts for providing us an opportunity to educate them in Home Fire Safety and for giving us some company. There is a misconception that fire safety only needs to be practiced once a year during fire prevention week during October, However, here at Lowell Fire & Tri-Creek EMS we strive to provide Community Outreach and Educational events year round to better suite the needs of our community and the citizens in which we protect. This is a friendly reminder that the Fire Station is always open for scheduled station tours and other educational events in which you request our attendance. We are more than happy to help! ...
